Trick or Treat (1986)

It’s Camp Thursday my little grave creepers!
First creature feature you need to get your hands on, The Mighty Gorga (1969). From toy dinosaurs fighting a man in a guerrilla suit to humans confusing man in guerrilla suit for being the missing link. It’s such a terrible movie and worth watching for a laugh.
The Mighty Gorga was directed by David L. Hewitt, who also made a bevy of B films. I sat through The Wizards of Mars. All of it…all of it. He also aided his master skills of special effects for Shocker, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Superman IV….yes, draw parallels if you will.

Our second dig is a personal fave! Let’s strap in and go  through time tunnel back to 1986! Trick or Treat was a horror film from De Laurentiis Entertainment group that produced Evil Dead II, Blue Velvet, Manhunter, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and the list goes on.  Also, Skippy is in this movie.  That’s right, Skippy from Family Ties aka Martin Price as Ragman,  the angst ridden teen. Obsessed with his rock icon to whom he can only relate to in a world he doesn’t quite fit into.  When his Satanic rock hero dies, the kid brings him back by playing his album backwards…remember Tipper Gore and Kandy Stroud? lol He brings his rock God back and takes revenge on jocks and preppy little bitches. Speaking of which, Lori Laughlin from Full House is in this one with her golden lines such as, “Yeah, like why can’t you act normal. If you weren’t so creepy you’d know what I was talking about.Like, do you even care about who’s running for student council?”
Yeah…
Gene Simmons also guest stars along with Ozzy Osbourne as a coherent minister. One more fun fact: Kevin Yagher provided the effects in this one. For those of you unaware of who Kevin Yagher is, he’s the genius that designed the Chucky doll for Child’s play, Freddy Kruger, The Crypt Keeper, and the list goes on.
I will provide the full version of Trick or Treat, thanks to generous Kas-g Randy, who uploaded it. Sit back and enjoy!
Rots and kisses,
Edwina Rigormuerte xx
